Janita Bellot is well known to me. 10 years ago I had a blood disorder and after discussing this my specialist he put me on steroids. After months on these I felt better but always wanted to ‘ween’ myself from them, I discussed it with Janita and she recommended daily exercise to combat this.

She set up a daily ‘exercise plan’ of gentle walking for 1 hour, following on with going up and down stairs gently, basic exercises when we stopped, shoulder lifts, arm circulating, running on the spot, touching toes before we set off again to do the stair and gentle running before we powered down. This was done each day either in the morning or evening. Once 6 weeks was completed I felt so much stronger in myself.

After that she prepared another plan for the next steps as she thought I was ready for more. I was delighted to know this as the weather became warmer and the beach was waiting.

Our strong walks became slow jogs, carrying on with the strategy of running up and downs stairs but at a faster pace, shoulder lifts became more intensive, running on the spot was more aggressive and power downs were welcomed as I felt so much stronger to do more.

My specialist confirmed after my test results that my blood levels had corrected itself and advised that we should start to reduce the steroids. That too another 4 months and finally we told me to stop take the medication. I continued my regime with my Life Coach as my specialist said ‘whatever you are doing continue as its working’

Finally she recommended a staple diet for me which includes fresh vegetables, juices made from vegetables in liquid form, high fibre food and receipes that I could prepare on a daily basis.

I think Janita is a wonderful Personal Trainer , her training sessions are stimulating and challenging and always tinged with fun, she can when needs to be hard, but she is always fair , and always seems to know how far she can push , which is quite far, but realistic as regards to your own capabilities , I really enjoy her training sessions, and for me the results were quite evident, her knowledge of exercises is really impressive, and I say that as a guy who has been gyming and training for over 30 years, I always seem to learn something new from her.

I would recommend her just as much to novices new to fitness, as I would to experienced fitness freaks, I find her to be a truly top Personal Trainer.

I concluded a 10 week personal training programme with Janita.   I would like to say that I have really enjoyed my time with her and found her classes challenging but enjoyable.  Every week we did something different which made it a really varied programme.

Janita is a very professional trainer and plans her classes well, with well thought out exercises which train every part of the body.  Janita follows the training sessions up with tips and exercises that can be done at home to compliment the sessions.

The advantage with a good personal trainer is that is really encourages you to go, even when you don’t always feel like it.

Boot camp and running with Janita BELLOT, as my Personal Trainer was genuinely a great experience.  In the beginning I was very curious because I have never been running outdoors before and more curious because of the fact that it would be after office hours.  I wondered how I would manage to keep running and boot camping around my busy work life.

When I first started, the first two sessions were difficult because all my muscles were being fully exercised.

Janita tailored some exercises to suit my own fitness level.  Janita always kept me motivated and to go ‘the extra mile’ and to give my best.  The results are truly worth it.  As Janita says “no pain, no gain”.

I have to admit that participating in ‘Boot Camp” in the beginning was a challenge for me as running and jumping were never my favourite leisure!  Would I be able to keep up?  I envisioned the whole concept Boot Camp to be extremely exhausting and intense.  However, since day one, I have been nothing but thrilled to see what this new wau of exercising can do for me.  After two sessions, I learned so many new exercises that have stirred muscles I didn’t know I had.

Having Janita as my Personal Trainer from the word go at ‘Boot Camp” it was a huge relief and the best decision ever.

This was my first ever Personal Training session and decided to make it a training session with a few other people.  I did not want to be the only player in the game.

It was great fun!  Janita has the knack of making things interesting, funny and slightly competitive.  There were no boring moments but plenty of feeling knackered moments.  Being with a few others, some of whom I knew, was very encouraging.   The session was long and being in a team pushed me beyond my normal self-imposed limits.

At the end, she included a healthy meal and drinks.  Again, this proves how she puts everything into her efforts.  Other trainers would save the money and extra time involved.  She does this not to make a living out of training but to encourage other people’s training and then make a living.

When she asked me to be her personal mentor, I accepted thinking it was an uphill struggle.  How wrong I was, it has been a pleasure and the ideas and professionalism she has put into this great learning curve has impressed me a lot.

Some months following a family bereavement, I attained the services of Janita Bellot whilst I was on a contract in The Hague.

Upon completion of an intense nutritional, dietary and physical fitness programme, covering the three week period (outside of my long work-hours), I can genuinely state that, not only did we succeed in vastly improving my physical form and fitness, but also my self-worth and mental attitude.  The success achieved was due to a combination of Janita’s drive, determination and her unprecedented motivational skills.  Each daily programme was different so I did not get bored or dread any session.  The implementation of the dietary advice was smooth – more importantly, not once did I suffer from hunger pangs.  Her methodology behind her development of the programme to suit my personal situation was a hundred percent accurate.

I came in contact with Janita Bellot via a mutual friend.

Before my training with Janita, I had hit a wall with my running performance and could not motivate myself to go further.  I was only focussed on running itself and not on strength training.

After just a few private lessons, Janita changed my running posture releasing a more relaxed and smooth run, she also changed my thinking on other types of training and nutrition.

The warm ups, cool down and stretches she taught me are still my favourites and continue to use them each time I run.

The lessons were clear, tough and effective.  Some of the exercises were initially too difficult for me, but she immediately adjusted them to suit me, creating a personal and tailor made programme.

Janita was always eager to listen to feedback and added diagrams of the exercises in her running folder after my suggestion.

Thanks to Janita, I have now broken my distance record!  I have improved my running times  and 5km and 10km and I have become consistently motivated to go further and faster.

My target is now to complete a half marathon next year, which I don’t think I would have considered without her coaching.

I am a Year 4 teacher at HSV.  In my class we were doing an IPC unit on Health and Fitness.  I asked the parents in my class if they had any experience within the field of health and fitness or if they knew of anyone else who did.  I wanted to bring outside experience into the classroom.

Through a parent I was forwarded the name of Janita Bellot.  I contacted her and she responded immediately.  She offered a tailor made, mini workshop (45 minutes) on Fitness for Children, which would include education on nutrition and physical well-being.

Janita was open to suggestions about the planning of the workshop and also the timing.  Being that a primary school has a tight curriculum, she did her best to fit around our needs.  She is a highly professional individual who delivers her sessions in an enthusiastic, energetic manner.  Janita offered to return for a follow up work shop.  This was of an equally high standard.

Janita was punctual and extremely well organised.  She brought her own equipment with her.  She had planned excellent activities which were well-paced and of relevance to the children.  There was also time for questions at the end of each session.  The children absolutely loved both workshops.  Janita did not charge for her time.  I would highly recommend Janita’s Workshops.
